Abstract: The Database Beech Forests from Romanian Carpathians (GIVD ID EU-RO-004) contains relevés (25-1,000 m2) taken from the Romanian literature (1944 to 2008). The relevés represent beech forests from Romanian Carpathians. Species data (presence/absence) is supplemented with information regarding: canopy cover, herb cover, slope, altitude and aspect. Also, the database comprises the phytosociological assignments given by the authors and the geographical location as in the original sources (toponyms).
